Eco-Clean Your Loo

Toilets are tricky things when it comes to being eco-friendly. You can clean your bath, your clothes, & your dishes without resorting to chemicals. Even your vegetables can be gently bathed in special vegetable washes. But for years, I was unable to work out how to clean the limescale off my loo without resorting to nasty chemicals. I would leave it for as long as I could but in the end have to resort to putting something very nasty indeed down my toilet bowl.

Then a couple of months ago a friend kindly enlightened me on the subject. She explained that all you had to do was pour some white vinegar into the bowl, add a sprinkling of baking powder, leave it overnight, then give it a good scrub & flush in the morning.

I’m delighted to say that this actually works. Even one application made a huge difference, though you may need to give it a few goes to get your toilet bowl truly white and sparkling. Best of all, your eco-smugness will also get a polishing!
