Raspberry Delight
For a sauce with a difference, puree some raspberries, add a splash of agave syrup (a low glycemic natural sweetener available from most health food shops), then fold in some plain yoghurt. Use as a dessert sauce.
If you don’t eat soya or dairy, mix in some smooth nut butter instead of the yoghurt. Nut butter can be bought in most health food shops but it’s easy to make your own if you have a coffee/nut grinder - just grind up some cashews, pine nuts or macadamias. They are so oily that they easily form a paste and can be combined with the raspberries for a deliciously creamy sauce.
