‘When you know what you do, you can do what you want’
Moshe Feldenkrais

The Feldenkrais Method is for anyone in any walk of life and at any level of movement skill.

Especially if you want to:

do what you want in life more easily with less effort and strain

  • improve your skills as an actor, dancer, sports person, martial artist or musician
  • reduce chronic pain or discomfort
  • recover well from an injury, an operation or childbirth
enhance your practice in other movement or awareness disciplines

Eminent physicist and judo expert, Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984) created thousands of clear, accessible movement classes involving gentle movements, carefully crafted to help the participant explore their own particular habits in movement and ‘posture’.

Based on sound neurological principles, the classes help the participants become aware of their patterns and in the process open up new possibilities so they can do what they want in life more easily, comfortably, efficiently, gracefully - with less effort, pain and strain. Victoria Worsley discovered the Feldenkrais method 23 years ago while training as an actor. Since then she has worked as a performer, theatre-maker and movement director for 20 years, and finally made her way to the Feldenkrais Professional Practitioner Training in the UK (Lewes IV). She teaches Feldenkrais classes at the Birmingham School of Acting and at the Haelan Centre in Crouch End (suitable for anyone). She also intends to offer one to one hands-on Feldenkrais sessions at the Haelan Centre form May 2007.
