Dragana Savcic
About me: I am an experienced & supervised practitioner offering confidential therapy. I have over ten years of experience in the NHS and continue to work in the NHS. I also have a significant experience working for the voluntary sector and currently offer my supervision skills to groups of qualified psychotherapists.  In my private practice I work with both individuals and couples.

What to expect: My diverse skills allow me to be flexible in a way I work with each individual. For some people that could mean that dealing with symptoms would be most helpful (at least initially) whilst for others, it may mean that we would be exploring the relationships or that we would be looking into the patterns underlying your current difficulties. The length of therapy will be also discussed in the first session and could range from a brief (12 - 16 – 24 sessions) to an open-ended long-term therapy. The first meeting that can last up to an hour and half is used by both of us to see if we can work together and, if so, to jointly decide how. This is an opportunity for me to know more about your difficulties and, for you, to know more about me and the way I work, what to expect from therapy etc.  Further sessions usually last 50 minutes and are held weekly.

Experience: I am experienced in working with many issues, which could be briefly described as: Interpersonal issues, Coping with Life Changes, Emotional Difficulties, Trauma/Abuse, Depression, Anxiety/Panic, Cultural Issues, Difficulty Managing Chronic Illness.

Qualifications: I hold the following qualifications: BSc (Hons) in Psychology, Prof Psychology, PGC Systemic Therapy. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), the British Psychological Society (BPS), the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS) and the Association for Cognitive Analytical therapy (ACAT). I adhere to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy by both BACP and the BPS.
